"sakazuki" 盃 が創り出される工程を

柔らかな曲線を描く盃を模した器のような木の土台に、筆を使用して截金でデザインが描かれていきます。
描かれるために使用される金箔は1mmにも満たない極細に切られたもの。筆と筆の先で金箔を土台に貼り、柔らかな曲線を描きます。

盃は古来から神事やお祝いの場で使用されるもの。日本酒（清酒）で清め、祝いの言葉で喜びと繁栄を願い、古くから受け継がれてきた伝統文化の一つ。

"sakazuki"には一粒の真珠を添えて、その日本の文化を表現しています。

The process of creating a “sakazuki” ceremonial cup

A design is drawn using a brush and kirikane (cut gold) on a wooden base shaped like a cup with soft curves.

The gold leaf used for drawing is cut into extremely fine strips, less than 1mm wide. Using the brush and its tip, the gold leaf is applied to the base, tracing the soft curves.

The sakazuki has been used since ancient times in Shinto rituals and celebrations. Purified with sake, it is used to offer words of celebration, wishing for joy and prosperity, representing one of Japan's long-cherished traditional cultures.

A single pearl adorns the “sakazuki,” expressing this Japanese cultural tradition.
